Meeting Time: To be determined - this page will be updated periodically.
Fuel: Make sure to fuel up when arriving in Meeteetse. (It wouldn't hurt to fuel up at any town prior to Meeteetse. The pumps in Meeteetse have been off before spoiling a trip we had planned) Depending on your route, Thermopolis, Basin, Greybull, or Cody or are the closest places to fuel up other than Meeteetse.
Email to Sign Up: Use the email provided in the announcement video. Alternatively, you can contact Melissa viaWyoming Jeepers' FaceBook group to provide you name and email. The reason for the email is to allow us to inform participants of instructions and any possible changes.
Communication: WG use GMRS radios. FRS radios will also work on GMRS frequencies, however, range is typically limited.
Vehicle Requirements & Types: We understand folks love side by sides, four wheelers and motorcycles but this trip is intended for regular vehicles only. The equivalent of a 4WD Jeep Wrangler is a minimum. Lockers are not necessary but you may want 4WD and low range. These are the bare minimum vehicle requirements. Please bring a vehicle in good enough condition on this trip. Bring a spare tire.
About the Trail: This trail is mostly broken rock winding up the southeast side of Carter Mountain. Once we start the climb, there are no trees. The enitre mountain is made up of volcanics. This is not an overly technical trail.
Food: Bring your own snacks and lunch.
Lunch Stop: We will be stopping along the way for lunch. We could easily spend an hour meeting people, looking at rigs, eating, etc.
Etiquitte: We want this trip to be fun for all involved. Please be considerate of everyone. This is a drug/alcohol free trip.
